What is No More Room in Hell 2?
No More Room in Hell 2 is an 8-player co-operative zombie survival horror shooter by Torn Banner Studios, the sequel to the cult free Source-mod classic. Runs are tense and unforgiving: ammo is scarce, light is your lifeline, infection spreads quietly, and permanent character death is always on the table.
After launching into Steam Early Access on October 22, 2024, the game left Early Access with its 1.0 release on August 11, 2026 — arriving on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for the first time alongside PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), with full crossplay. The 1.0 update added a Survival mode, a solo mode without permadeath, a guided tutorial, weekly missions, expanded character customization, the new Raven Rock map, revamped difficulty levels and over 8,000 fixes and optimizations.

What Makes It Brutal
Deliberate Combat
Grounded, unforgiving fights: scarce ammo, weighty melee and zombies that only reliably stay down when you destroy the head.
Permanent Death
Your responder can die for good, taking their progress with them. Only the solo mode added in 1.0 turns permadeath off.
Hidden Infection
One bite can quietly doom you. Infection creeps in with whispers and symptoms — get treated in time or turn on your own squad.
Objectives & Extraction
Restore power, complete objectives and reach extraction with up to seven other survivors — or bail out early when a run goes bad.
Maps & Missions
Every Map Explained
Six Objective maps — including the new Raven Rock — plus three Survival-only maps, with what changed in 1.0 and the supply cap on each.
Objectives & Extraction
How objective chains actually work, what the game never tells you about extraction, and when bailing out early is the right call.
Start Surviving
Beginner Guide & Tips
How to survive your first nights: combat basics, noise discipline, infection, extraction and the 1.0 tutorial.
All 9 Maps
Six Objective maps and three Survival maps, what 1.0 changed on each, and why old guides still call Lewiston “Waldoboro”.
How to Cure Infection
Pills, gene therapy and the window you actually have — plus what the 1.0 hallucinations mean when you start hearing voices.
How to Early Extract
When to bail, what you keep, what you forfeit — and an honest answer about the timer nobody can actually confirm.
Melee Tier List
Rebuilt for 1.0 after the leg meta was removed. Most tier lists you'll find were written for a game that no longer exists.
Nightmare Mode Builds
What Nightmare really costs you, what it pays, and why every pre-1.0 Nightmare guide is now wrong.

NMRIH2 FAQ
What is No More Room in Hell 2?
An 8-player co-op zombie survival horror shooter by Torn Banner Studios — the sequel to the classic free Source mod. It emphasizes scarce resources, darkness, hidden infection and permadeath, and hit 1.0 on August 11, 2026.
Is No More Room in Hell 2 free?
No. Unlike the original mod, NMRIH2 is a paid game at $29.99 USD on Steam, Epic, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. At launch week it has a 35% discount ($19.49) until August 25, 2026.
Is NMRIH2 on PS5 and Xbox?
Yes. The 1.0 release on August 11, 2026 brought the game to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for the first time, alongside PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Does NMRIH2 have crossplay?
Yes — 1.0 launched with full crossplay across all platforms: Steam, Epic Games Store, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Can I play NMRIH2 solo?
Yes. The 1.0 update added a solo mode without permadeath, built for learning maps at your own pace. Standard runs remain online co-op for up to 8 players.
Are there NMRIH2 redeem codes?
暂无 — there is no official redeem/gift code system in No More Room in Hell 2. Sites advertising “codes” are usually third-party CD-key resellers, which we don't endorse. If Torn Banner ever adds official codes, this page will list them.
When did NMRIH2 release?
Steam Early Access began on October 22, 2024. The full 1.0 release — including the console versions — arrived on August 11, 2026.
How many players does NMRIH2 support?
Runs support up to 8 players in online co-op. A no-permadeath solo mode was added in 1.0, so you can also play alone.
How many maps does NMRIH2 have?
Nine at 1.0: six Objective maps (Power Plant, Broadway, Beaulieu Hospital, Pottsville, Lewiston and the new Raven Rock) and three Survival-only maps (Flooded, NotLD and Lighthouse). If a guide still lists Waldoboro, that map is now called Lewiston.
How many weapons are in NMRIH2?
Torn Banner's Early Access retrospective puts the 1.0 total at 38 weapons, melee and ranged combined. Community testing has documented verified stats for 34 of them — 15 firearms and 19 melee weapons — and Torn Banner has never published a breakdown of the remaining four.
Does NMRIH2 have mod support?
No. The Steam store page lists Online Co-op, Cross-Platform Multiplayer, Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud — but no Steam Workshop, and Torn Banner has announced no modding plans. That is a real change from the original, which was itself a Source mod.
Is NMRIH2 on Game Pass?
No — the game is not in the Game Pass library, so you buy it outright on the Xbox store. The confusing part: playing online on console still requires a Game Pass Core or Ultimate subscription, which is why 'Game Pass' shows up on the store listing at all.
