"Player count" means two different things for No More Room in Hell 2 — how many people fit in a run, and how many people are playing right now. Here are both, with real sources.
In-game: up to 8 players per run
Runs support 1–8 players in online co-op. Since 1.0 (August 11, 2026), squads can mix PC (Steam/Epic), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players via full crossplay, and an 8-player Survival mode joined the objective missions. A no-permadeath solo mode covers the other extreme.
Whether difficulty scales with squad size is a common question — Torn Banner hasn't published official scaling numbers, so treat any specific multipliers you see quoted as community estimates, not confirmed data.
Live: how many people are playing NMRIH2?
Live concurrent numbers change hourly, so this page doesn't print a number that would be stale tomorrow. Check the live trackers directly:

Context for reading the charts: the game left Early Access on August 11, 2026 with its first console launch and a 35% discount through August 25 — launch windows always spike concurrent numbers. Note that Steam trackers only count the Steam version: Epic, PS5 and Xbox players don't appear in Steam Charts or SteamDB, so total population is higher than the Steam number.
Up to 8 in online co-op, with full crossplay across Steam, Epic, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S since 1.0.
Steam Charts (steamcharts.com/app/292000) and SteamDB (steamdb.info/app/292000) — both track the Steam version live and free.
No. They only count Steam. Epic, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players aren't included, so the real total is higher.
